There are several things to ponder when getting prepared to set goals. Great goals are comprised of a focused outcome, are in line with your values, and are positive in nature. This is how I like to use the S.M.A.R.T. method: Specific - what is it you're exactly trying to achieve Measurable - you want to know when you've achieved it Action-oriented - do something about it Realistic - Make it something that you can realistically do Time-Bound - make sure your goal has a deadline These are some of the questions I ask myself when determining what my goals should be: 1. What is it I really want? I spend some time digging really deep here. 2. What is the specific outcome I'm looking for? 3. What is the pain of NOT achieving this goal? 4. Is this goal in line with my vision and overall plan 5. Is this goal in line with my values? 6. Is this goal something I truly want or just something I think I SHOULD have or SHOULD be doing? 7. How does this goal fit into my lifestyle? I receive so much clarity from answering these questions, which makes it much easier to choose goals that I know I'm excited about putting into action. Between mind mapping, drawing out my vision, and leaning into what my ultimate life goals are, I am choosing goals that fit who I am and are in alignment with my vision for where I'd like to drive my business success. By asking myself those questions, it's as if everything just clicks into place! The big picture becomes crystal clear and I can easily chunk the large goals into smaller sub-goals, and then create monthly and weekly plans that map out the action I'll need to take to reach my goals. I know that when I apply the formula that I teach to my clients, focus + structure + accountability + action, I am prepared and excited to tackle all the steps so I can reach my goals! By planning, setting, getting accountability, and applying strategy, the goals and plans I have are so much easier to achieve! Are you ready to implement the formula, receive guidance & accountability, and meet a terrific group of people that will support you with reaching your goals and completing your plans for business success? I invite you to check out what we have created with the Solopreneur Accountability Society, the small group mastermind where accountability & taking action happens every single day!
